United by Tradition
O Lord Ganesha, the First to Be Worshipped… On the auspicious occasion of Shri Ganeshotsav, we warmly and respectfully welcome you. We have gathered together to celebrate the birth festival of Lord Ganesha with devotion, dignity, and grandeur. We sincerely invite you to visit our Ganesh Mandal, seek the blessings of Lord Ganesha, and witness the beautiful decorations and arrangements prepared with love and dedication.
The tradition of celebrating Public Ganeshotsav was initiated by Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak in 1893 with the objective of promoting social unity and public awareness. Inspired by this vision, in 1967, several dedicated social workers and residents of Pali Pathar came together to establish the Pali Pathar Residents' Association. The founding members included Late G. B. Kadam, Late Kashinath Mestri, Late Sonu Pawar, Late Manabai Patil, Late Vinayak Pawaskar, Late Ramprasad Thakur, Late Mahadev Birje, Late Ramchandra Veturkar, and Late Bhimraj Jadhav.
With their collective efforts and unwavering commitment, the first Public Ganesh Festival was celebrated in 1974. Since then, every generation has continued this sacred tradition with immense faith, devotion, and enthusiasm. Today, our organization proudly completes 51 years of dedicated service and enters its 52nd year of celebrating Ganeshotsav. This remarkable journey has been possible only because of the continuous support, encouragement, and generosity of our residents, local businesses, well-wishers, and devotees who have stood by us throughout the years.
We sincerely express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has contributed to our success. We look forward to receiving your continued love, blessings, and support in the years to come as we strive to preserve and strengthen this cherished tradition for future generations.
With Warm Regards, Prabha Sports Club Public Shri Ganeshotsav (Registered) Bandra (West), Mumbai – 400050
